Love this stuff. I am surprised everyone is complaining about a deoderant that last 3-4 days!!!!!!! That is incredible, even if the previous formula lasted 7. The previous formula contained BHT, which is basically a poison when absorbed through the skin (especially vulnerable areas such as the armpits), so be happy the formula was re-vamped. I started this past Saturday morning and it is currently Tuesday evening and I am only now starting to smell faint B.O. Love this stuff!!!!!!!!! The Old Spice non-antiperspirant deoderant I was using reads on the label "this product contains harmful ingredients."

I agree with smell-free - it is tough to find a deo. that works even a few hours or one day let alone several days in a row! So I am surprised to hear the compliants - although, I can understand for the long time users who are used to the old formula being disappointed. I never used to the old formula so to me to find a deordant like this that works even an ENTIRE day is a thrill for me! I probably would not buy the old formula if it really contained petroleum jelly because that is a by-product of the gas industry - who wants to rub gas into their armpits? Not me! I just started using this a day a ago but I can't tell you how happy I am so far - I just started perimenpause and my body chemistry is changing -result is that none of my natural deodorant work anymore! I was getting so frustrated because I have been using natural deordants for over 10 years with no problems! Than I read about this online and even though it was expensive for such a small amount - I figure I would at least try it out once and see. It is great! I didn't stink ALL day! Even overnight, I was sweating because it was hot in the house - I should have been stinking when I woke up - Nothing! I was so thrilled and surprised! I mean, if this works like this for a full day I am happy but I think 3 to 5 days is gonna be a treat! Hopefully I can continue to afford this stuff! :)

I've used this product for over 20 years. It is the most effective deodorant and made with natural ingredients. I always know that no matter what the situation (high humidity, strenuous exercise, stress) I will always smell fresh. I highly recommend it to anyone, male or female. I have never had any skin reaction even after shaving.

I have used it for 15 years. Strenuous activity (I work on a farm.) does not wash it away or stop it from working. I am glad the BHT is out. Can you please take out the hydrogenated oil. I don't eat it and prefer not to use it at all. thanks

I have been using Lavilin Deodorant for the past 30 years religiously. The old formula was stronger and sticky. The new formula is effective for only 3-4 days with one application.

For some reason about 6 years ago I began getting a serious under arm rash from using any kind deodorant or deodorant/antiperspirant. For about 1 year during that time, I went to a dematologist and they didn't help. I used a prescription underarm cream with baby powder which cleared up the rash, but it did not do anything for the order. The all natural deodorants did not work. I couldn't go around being funky so I had to use the regular deodorant during the week (rash again) but on weekends (usually at home - not out much) I would use tea tree oil and baby powder. Works O.K. during cooler months (not all day), but forget it during warm/hot months. About 3 years ago my sister found this product "Lavilin" that I tried. I followed the instructions, but during that time it did not work. Just recently, something told me to try it again. This time it worked. It feels good for a change. No burning or itching. My skin is healing quickly. I did some yard work. Got really sweaty, but not stinky. That was amazing because I sweat and get funky very easily. I am really impressed with this product. I highly recommend it. Even if this product last 3/4 days, it's worth it and better than what I was dealing with before.

I've been using Lavilin for more than 25 years. I've always had extremely impressive, long lasting results (50 or more days in cool weather and 30 days in warmer weather). I can't explain why I've gotten such phenominal results, but I'm definitely not complaining.

When I purchased my last supply (new white packaging), several months ago, I noticed a difference in consistency, but didn't realize there was a formula change. AND I really haven't noticed a significant difference in how long it lasts...last night was the first time I've reapplied Lavilin in two montns. Now that we're heading into summer I might not get such long lasting effects (with the new formula) but I'm confident I will be satisfied. If BHT was in the previous formula and is harmful I'm glad for the reformulation (and a little dissappointed/worried) that I used it for so long. I hope there's nothing else lurking in the product that will do harm. Phoenix, Arizona

It's not true about the 3-4 days - for me at least. One application lasts me over a month or even 2 in the cool weather; 3-4 weeks in the hot weather. I've tried to get family onto it, but they don't have the patience or the social indifference to get the process started. When I first began, 10 years ago, the first app lasted 2-3 days, the second app about 5, and since then it's never been shorter than a week between applications. Maybe hairless armpits makes it more effective as the product gets on skin rather than hair.

It seems expensive till you do the numbers - the product saves me money and saves on landfill for all those plastic containers that get used for the less effective products. I remember the original black jars were more true in size to their contents. There's no need for the ginormous jar relative to the small and intensely effective contents. The big jar is an unnecessary and charlatanous gimmick.

I find that this product is vastly superior to any other 0% aluminum, 0% alcohol, and 0% paraben product I've gotten to use...all others had no staying power and were usually in an awkward form (i.e. soapy, etc...).

My doctor holds a degree as an MD, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baylor U, (the second highest award given for academic excellence) which he then practiced internal medicine for about 25 - 30 years; untill he felt he needed a doctorate in homeopathy as well as the MD degree to have the most rounded skill set in healing - i.e. to be become an intergrative healer.

The point is that he recommends a very basic set of cleaners that can sheild yourself and others from my illness better :

1. Chlorhexdine Gluc 4.0%, a.k.a. "Hibbclins" soap - used daily on each hands "7 points of contact," around the moutvh and nose, and any kind of event that may cause a breaking of skin or inflamation of tissue membranes. The cholorhexdine kills existing bacterium and prevents further bacterial replication for around 6 hours.

2. Collodial Silver - can be found with as fine a solution as 23 ppm, which can then be sprayed 2 - 3 times on each area of concern/ no more than TID, or at least daily...

3. Orange TKO - easy to find and highly effective when thrown in with the laundry.

~ Also, to treat at least mild to moderate physical trauma (especially if it results in bleeding), I use chlorhexidine, follwed up with some hydrogen peroxide, next in line is 2 or 3 sprays of silver, and then a finish of some neopsorin triple antibiotic (generics, like always, are fine).

~ I am loaded with so much pharmacological knowledge, that I'd love to lend advice to anyone in search of answers. I nay just have some of the answers you're looking for,

I have been using this for about 30 years. The formula has varied over the years, but is always effective. I use it once a month in fall and winter, twice a month in the spring, and 3-4 times a month in the summer.

I have never taken the time to write a review but am so impressed with Lavilin that I felt it was important to do so. For many years I have battled underarm rash from many different deoderants. They would only work for a little while, if at all, and the rash would begin. A sales person at Sprouts recommended Lavilin. It works so well, no odor and no rash. From reading the reviews Lavilin has been available for 30+ years. I hope it continues for many years to come. Thank You, PGrant

I have not tried this product yet, just picked up a sample of it at work. My question is - if someone could answer for me - when you bathe, can you wash your armpits with soap as usual, or does soap negate the deodorant?

This is absolutely amazing - a life altering product - that is rare. I have a very active lifestyle and never do I get through a day without having to re-apply deodorant or tollerate being smelly. I started travelling in hot climates and there was no hope for the regular deodorant I use. This is my first week using Lavilin, I've used it twice and that is it. I simply can't believe that I don't notice any by the end of a day. Everyone should know about this!

I agree with Sara. This is a life-altering product for those of us who have overactive sweat glands. It is short of a miracle. Wish I would have known about it 20 years ago, but better late than never. I'm turning some other folks onto the products. My sis is a nurse anesthetist and has some problems with surgery, stress and being on her feet all the time. I just sent her and her boyfriend a couple of lavilin products to try. He is a dentist and has problems with being on his feet all the time too. Like K Drew, THANK YOU.

Sina, it takes a short time to figure out how your body will adjust to these products. You can bathe as usual. The longer you use them, the more your body adjusts. It is pretty amazing, really. Just be patient.

I was skeptical at first, but after giving it a few days I was amazed! I thought it wouldn't work for me as I am a man, and i workout 4-5 days per week, and I had my doubts, but after using my first jar I have been hooked on it for over a year. I can apply it every 7 days, but that's pushing it, so on the safe side I apply it every 5-6. super impressed! Thank you!

I have tried many natural deodorant which always left smelling at mid-day. I always enjoy when someone tells me I smell good and b.o. is not my perfume of choice.

You have to put this on with your fingers and then wash your hands, which is weird. I prefer a stick.
